Banksy Bans Mobile Phones at New Exhibit

Selfie-taking hordes are a common hazard in the galleries of the 21st century, but one world-famous artist has decided to take a stand.

Banksy––the activist, provocateur, anti-capitalist and most popular street artist of our century––is using Yondr to make his latest Glasgow art exhibit completely phone-free.

Gareth James, museum manager at GoMA, says the point is not “to view the show through a phone, or the phone of someone standing in front of you, but to see it for yourself.”
